Original 1889 Arbuckle Bros. Coffee promotional atlas — "Arbuckles' Illustrated Atlas of Fifty Principal Nations of the World." This charming Victorian-era piece was given away with Arbuckle's coffee purchases and features exquisite chromolithography by Donaldson Brothers.This cover shows a whimsical scene of cherubs studying a globe beneath a night sky, alongside an inset illustration and map of Palestine/Jerusalem (noted as a "Turkish Province"). The full atlas originally contained cards covering fifty nations, each with maps and illustrated vignettes — a wonderful piece of 19th-century advertising art and geography history.Condition: Sold as-is, item is over 135 years old. Please examine photos closely — visible wear includes edge chipping, a small tear near the top-left binding area, corner creasing/damage (bottom right), light staining, and general age-toning to the paper. String binding at left is present.
