Up for sale is an ancient West Mexican Nayarit/Jalisco black pottery toad shaft tomb figural. This nice piece is among a modest collection of ancient artifacts that I have collected over the years. I am now posturing for retirement and want to simplify my collections and decor, so I am offering this and other nice articles to the community. To start, I am not an aficionado when it comes to ancient artifacts. I have always purchased these items in confidence from prominent sale houses. This fine item depicts a primitive toad or frog figure, (see pics). It is made of primitively fired black pottery. This item would have been added to the tomb to accompany the deceased. It measures 2 1/8\" in length and is in exceptional condition considering its ancient status. Please look at my many photos to assess.
