Gay Ann covers every conceivable tool and has wellresearched history to go with the many illustrations. She covers sewingboxes, cases, chatelaines, needle cases, thimbles, scissors, tapemeasures, waxers, emeries, pincushions, thread barrels, winders,clamps, reel stands, thread boxes, crochet hooks, stilettos, knittingtools, tatting shuttles, lace bobbins, lucets, nettingtools, and darners. All of thepictures give dates as well as the size of the items, a feature that Ireally miss in most of the other books on the subject.
This hardback book is signed by theauthor to the original owner. She must have set the book aside topreserve it though, because it is in new and unused condition.
