Original 1920s Electrola five-tube, three-dial battery radio manufactured by The American Specialty Co. of Bridgeport, Connecticut.
The cabinet size and control arrangement appear consistent with the Electrola Model Standard from approximately 1925, but no clearly marked model designation has been located. Please rely on the measurements and photographs when determining the exact model.
This radio is being sold strictly as an untested restoration project, parts radio, or display piece.
All five vacuum-tube sockets are empty. No tubes are included. No batteries, electronic battery eliminator, external speaker, antenna, headphones, cables, or other accessories are included.
I have not attempted to power or electronically test the receiver. The condition and continuity of the transformers, coils, condensers, controls, tube sockets, wiring, and other electrical components are unknown. Internal components appear as photographed, but electrical completeness is not guaranteed.
This is an early battery-operated radio and is not designed to plug directly into a standard household electrical outlet.
The black front panel retains attractive original-style gold lettering, dial markings, and decorative linework. The three principal tuning controls, smaller controls, toggle switch, five tube sockets, tuning condensers, coils, lid hinge, and lid-support hardware remain as shown.
The wooden cabinet has considerable age-related wear. Condition includes extensive finish loss and scratches across the top/lid, finish loss along the base and cabinet edges, scuffs, dust, oxidation, surface marks, and general wear. One large tuning knob has a visible chipped area along its edge. Another knob has a visible line or surface mark across its face. No attempt has been made to cosmetically restore the cabinet.
Please examine every photograph closely. The photographs are part of the description. Sold as shown, untested, with no representation that the radio is presently operational or complete.
