It is not my intention to lament the passing of the anthracite railroads, but rather to share with you the wonder and excitement of the trains that passed in front of my camera. I was told early on that a photographer would always carry a camera everywhere and capture the world around him or her. My camera was at my side and I took the picture even when others challenged my intent.Railroading is still fascinating to me and I continue to carry a camera to record the moment. The young railfans that I meet today express the same excitement and wonder about this hobby as I did in my youth.
