- Soft makeup brush or a clean artist brush helps remove dry dust from fine details and corners without scratching the fragile surface.
- Distilled water mixed with a tiny drop of mild dish soap prevents mineral deposits and harsh chemicals from harming the bronze.
- Microfiber cloth allows you to wipe the surface gently without leaving lint or abrasive friction behind.
- Hairdryer on cool setting or a dry towel ensures no moisture stays trapped in tiny crevices, which prevents dark spots.
- Important Warnings for Gilt Bronze
- No chemical polish like brass cleaner because it strips away the thin gold layer permanently.
- No scrubbing because harsh movements ruin the old finish and lower the item's value.
- No soaking the tray in water as it can damage inner cores or old base materials.
- Please review my very detailed pictures above.
