Joyce Leno is the daughter of prominent Acoma potters Tom and Juana Leno, and the granddaughter of Eulilia Vallo. Her mother, Juana Leno, is recognized as one of the influential matriarchs who preserved and popularized traditional Acoma pottery styles. Her pieces are held in museum collections (including the Gorman Museum at UC Davis) and fine Southwest art galleries.
