This classic and authentic Khan Atlas fabric is from the Margilan textile producers of Uzbekistan. It was made in the 1990's with authentic methods and by expert weavers. Unlike other similar fabrics on the market, this is an original silk/cotton blended piece. This atlas fabric is like a satin weave fabric of silk warp and weft. These Khan Atlas fabrics were meant for Royalty and slowly got adopted by the general population over time. The fabric has a subtle sheen to it. Lighweight. Khan Atlas fabrics today are used for clothing, drapery, upholstery and to accent accessories.
