This stunning sculpture is a authentic Oaxacan Alebrije (Mexican Folk Art Carving) handmade and signed by the renowned artisan Jose "Pepe" Santiago Ibanez from San Antonio Arrazola, Oaxaca, Mexico. The subject of the artwork is a mythical winged dragon breathing fire, intricately hand carved from local copal wood and decorated with vibrant, meticulously hand-painted geometric patterns and pointillism(dot art) style that characterizes traditional Oaxacan folk art. Please note:****One of the wings has been broken & repaired(see close-up photos). Fortunately, the repair was done well and is hardly noticeable and does not take away from the overall presentation. Because of this repair, it is in "very good condition" and is being sold "AS IS". It measures approximately 14" inches length by 11" inches height and 13" inches width.
