Antique 16” Chinese Boy Cloth Doll with lovely, layered traditional clothing including a Dudou, Shirt, Jacket with Knot Buttons, Pants, and Boots. The clothes are hand sewn, not machine sewn. The jacket has some fading mainly on the front otherwise the clothing is in excellent condition.The clothing is beautiful - miniature versions of actual clothing with all the details including knot buttons on the shirt and jacket. The doll is even wearing a dudou - a traditional undergarment.
The body, including the head is made of cloth. The body is very firm so may be stuffed with saw dust. There's a little paper strip tucked inside that reads 'Chinese Boy.'
This is a beautiful doll made by a skilled individual that took great care to make it!
