Antique coin bank box made of steel. Oval shaped bank-issued box with handle on top - promotional item.
Emblem on front reads, \"SAVINGS DEPARTMENT THE DIME BANK of LANSFORD LANSFORD PA\". #512 imprinted on top with manufacturer\'s mark - Bankers Service Corp. New York as well as two patent numbers.One side for coins; the other side has a hole for rolled paper bills.Unfortunately there is no lock or key available. It is my understanding that the bank held the key and the customer would bring the bank in to have it opened and its contents deposited. Neat item probably well over 100 years old. Looking for a new home!!!
