This sale is for a lovely, vintage Japanese silk Fukuro obi from the post WorldWar 2 era. This beautiful obi features a red background, and a repeating pattern of gorgeous maple leaves bursting with color - including silver, white, blue, green, pale yellow and pale red. The leaves are all are outlined in metallic gold threads that shimmer and sparkle in the light.
It's hard to capture the beauty of this piece with photos. The obi measures approximately 12" wide by 156" long, which is fairly standard. Displays wonderfully, or you could cut it up and use it in craft projects. This item cannot be combined with other items - it ships alone. There are some small stains, please see below for flaws.
This Japanese Fukuro silk obi is in good vintage condition - please see the last 4 pictures with slight stains on a few of the white maple leaves - and would still make a great addition to your growing collection. White areas are camera glare. And please note the size of the obi, as the pictures may make it look larger than it is. Please remember this is a vintage piece that may have some tiny imperfections such as dust, dirt.
