ANTIQUE "ECLIPSE" FIRE LANTERN For Sale

This is an antique fire department lantern that is museum quality and has been polished and lacquered and displays very well. This type of lantern is featured in most firefighting collector books. It is not marked but most likely made by the Fire Extinguisher Co. of Chicago. The Eclipse lantern was first patented in Sept. of 1886. The lantern is 6" in diameter at the base and about 14 1/2" tall not counting the lantern bail. This has a small dent on the font below to fill cap and to the right one below the the wick adjuster knob. This lantern is in great condition for something this old. This would make a great addition to a collection or mounted on a vintage rig.
