An extremely nice A. Mathieson & Son screw arm plow plane. The plane appears to be beech with boxwood arms, nuts, and washers.
Clearly marked with the Mathieson logo on the front. Also marked with likely owner names “James Mathieson” and “A. Staig.”
In fine working condition.
A couple of notes. There is some chipping of the threads on the rear fence near the tip. See photo. Otherwise threads appear good.
One washer has a crack and what appears to be an early repair. It is well done and works well. Also an early break and repair to the tip of the horn. Otherwise firm and solid.
