5\" Boston Terrier Bulldog - 2-sided - Iron Figurine - BRADLEY & HUBBARD c. 1920 For Sale

This cast iron figure is 2-Sided, so it would be unusual for a bookend or doorstop. This piece is exceptionally well cast with details like the fine lines of the dog\'s coat and even defined toenails and pretty studs on the collar. And the hand painting is also exceptional with green grass and logo, and nicely detailed face and collar. Most of the original paint remains.It\'s heavy for its size at 3 pounds, and stands completely flat without any wobble. The felt on the bottom was probably added later and it\'s in perfect shape.It\'s very rare to find this nice statue in such fine condition. Their manufactured design objects are in several museums including the Smithsonian Institution and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.SIZE: 5 1/2\" tall and 5 inches long
