rare complete matched set of four Mid-Century Modern pendant lamp shades by Electrolier Manufacturing Co. of Montreal, Canada's premier commercial lighting manufacturer — active from the 1920s through the 1960s and collected today alongside Lightolier and Stilnovo.
These are the real thing: solid spun metal bodies finished in a lacquered textile-pattern coating that gives the distinctive woven appearance characteristic of 1950s commercial fixture design. Each shade features the iconic hourglass/diabolo silhouette with a perforated brass band at the waist — a hallmark of Electrolier's mid-century pendant line. Beneath each shade sits the original Fresnel glass lens, intact on all four, designed to disperse light evenly downward. Hardware is brass throughout. Original wiring is present and fully functional on all four.
The Underwriters Laboratories inspection label (Issue B, E-7176) confirms authentic 1950s manufacture and US market certification.
