This is a beautiful rainbow obsidian puffy oval free form from Mexico. There is a slight reddish-pink flash which becomes evident when you rock the oval back and forth under the sunlight or spotlight. Both sides of the oval have flashes. Unless you are looking for the flashes under the light, it looks plain black. Rainbow obsidian is a natural, silica-rich volcanic glass featuring a shimmering, iridescent sheen of colors (purple, green, blue, gold) when polished and exposed to light.
