Up for sale is a 4 1/2 lb unmarked Tasmanian-pattern axe that I recently cleaned up and hung.
The head still has remnants of the original blue paint. I’m leaving the exact maker unconfirmed rather than guessing, but the head has a great old Tasmanian pattern and plenty of character.
It’s hung on a discontinued Whiskey River Trading Voices by Jake handle. These handles have some seriously amazing grain patterns, and this one is no exception. I used a mahogany wedge to finish the hang.
The bit has been ground to a 22.5° bevel and is ready to put to work.

This is a really cool combination of an old Australian-pattern head and a discontinued Voices by Jake handle. Great user axe or addition to an Australian axe collection.
