This is a set of 36 pencils (3 boxes) of Mitsubishi 9800 HB pencils with the JIS mark.
These were purchased from a small stationery store in northern Japan that was closing down in 2018. However, the pencils themselves were made in the late 80s or early 90s. There are some minor stains and scoffs on the boxes, and the pencils themselves have a little bit of dust from age, but all pencils seem to be in good condition otherwise.
Please note that although these pencils are listed as new, unused, and have only recently been removed from their packaging, they may have been stored for as long as 40 years. While every effort has been made to ensure the pristine quality of each pencil, some may have minor defects which should not affect the normal use of the pencil.
