3 Vintage/Antique Ashanti Akan Gold Weight Brass Ghana African Tribal Figurine For Sale

up for sale is a set of three vintage Ashanti Akan gold weight (Abrammuo/scale counterweights) brass figurines from Ghana/Ivory Coast, showcasing the traditional West African tribal art. Each figurine is handmade, adding to its unique and authentic charm. With a rich cultural heritage and provenance, these pieces offer a glimpse into the craftsmanship and traditions of the Ashanti people. The pieces were hand cast using the lost-wax casting technique and are made of brass/bronze/copper alloy.
I purchased this collection from the grandson of the collector who passed in 1985. It has been in storage since 1985 and some pieces were wrapped in California newspaper from 1985. The collection I bought what was what was left after the majority was sold, the "cheap" stuff. Most of the pieces were purchased in the 1950s and 60s. This was confirmed by several receipts of paintings from these decades.
