Pair of two original antique Victorian cabinet card portrait photographs, each measuring approximately 6.5 x 4.14 inches.
Both feature studio portraits of young women in period Victorian clothing and hairstyles. One photograph is marked Partridge with studio locations in Boston and Brookline, Massachusetts. The other bears an ornate photographer’s backmark for N. Conner, 212 Winter St., Boston.
One card also has period handwritten names/Marion Metcalf/March 1880/location information on the reverse. Some of the handwriting is faint and difficult to decipher, so please refer to the close-up photographs for your own interpretation.
The photographs were found/acquired together and are being offered as a pair. The women are unidentified, and no claim is made that the two photographs depict the same person.
Both show age-appropriate wear including toning, discoloration, spotting, edge/corner wear and other signs of age. Please enlarge and review all photos carefully, as they are part of the condition description.
