Wonderful illustrated card featuring a large bell surrounded by cherubs/angels, holly and red ribbon reading “A Joyous New Year.” The bottom features a complete 1912 calendar.The reverse contains advertising copy from Merry Christmas, 1911, promoting the sender’s Farm Progress semi-monthly farm paper and describing it as a year-long remembrance. An especially fun example of an early 20th-century advertising/calendar postcard.

Pretty embossed-style chromolithographic image of two winged cherubs with roses surrounding a large “1 January” calendar page, with “A Happy New Year” below. Numbered 963 at lower edge.This card was mailed and bears an early Winslow, Illinois Dec. 28 postmark and Benjamin Franklin 1-cent stamp. Handwritten message and address remain on the reverse.ConditionBoth are in good antique condition for their age, with expected edge/corner wear, light surface wear and age toning. The January card has postal/handling wear and some creasing/wrinkling visible on the reverse.
