Fabulous vintage drapery / soft furnishings fabric by unknown maker.
Vintage 1930s - 1950s, with a traditional, old fashioned, Victorian-era botanical motif.
Glazed cotton was especially popular in the first half of the 20th century, and adds a lustrous glow and crisp drape. Modern machine washing removes the sizing and the glaze.
Beautiful flora and fauna motif, with birds flying among leaves. The complex background color, clay/rosewood, was especially popular in the 1930s-1940s.
Clay, taupe, cream, seaglass blue, midnight blue, maize.
100% cotton, with a crisp, rustling texture and a lustrous finish.
Excellent condition: no stains, wear, discoloring, holes, tears, etc.
There are 5 repeats of the 3-bird motif in the piece.
