1999 Southern Pacific Railroad Calendar Cedco Steam Diesel Locos For Sale

Published by Cedco Publishing Company (San Rafael, California; ISBN 0-7683-2476-7) for the 1999 calendar year, this authentic vintage wall calendar commemorates the enduring legacy of the Southern Pacific Railroad. The exterior showcases a classic black cover framed in red, centered around an archival station platform photograph of a massive SP steam locomotive and passenger cars, paired with the iconic "Southern Pacific Lines" sunset logo. Inside, each monthly spread features a large, framing-worthy color or historical archival plate accompanied by informative historical captions and an open date grid watermarked with authentic railroad division emblems, including the Oregon Division "First in Safety" herald. Archival subjects span heavy SP steam, mountain rotary snowplows battling Sierra blizzards, early diesel transitions, iconic "Black Widow" liveries, and heavy freight diesels. Preserved in excellent vintage pre-owned condition with clean, completely unmarked monthly date grids, an intact centerfold hanging hole, tight staple binding, and crisp covers displaying only minor handling patina, this calendar is an outstanding display piece for railroadiana collectors, model railroading hobbyists, and Western American transit historians.
