Issued in 1998, this example is individually numbered 56 of 2,500 produced. The detailed sculpture depicts a Mississippi infantryman standing with his rifle and equipment on battlefield terrain.
The sculpture is mounted on a finished round wooden display base with a front identification plaque reading:
MISSISSIPPI
Barksdale’s Brigade
It measures approximately 4.5 inches high overall.
The piece bears Andrew L. Chernak’s signature incorporated into the original pewter casting, along with the Chilmark medallion and individual edition number.
The sculpture is in excellent pre-owned condition and displays beautifully. The wooden base and front identification plaque show only minor wear consistent with age and previous display.
Please note: No certificate of authenticity, paperwork or original box is included. The sculpture shown in the photographs is the exact item the buyer will receive.
Additional Chilmark fine pewter sculptures are available in my store.
