Must have no cracks, dings, scratches, scale separation, or other notable defects.Mint (95–100): Unused and unsharpened with outstanding original finish. No cracks, dings, scratches, scale separation, or nail-catching defects.Near Mint (85–94): Unsharpened and exceptionally well preserved. Minor age-related patina or peppering may be present. No pin cracks, hairline cracks, dings, scratches, scale separation, or nail-catching defects.Excellent (75–84): May show light sharpening, moderate patina, minor handling wear, or evidence of light cleaning. This is the highest possible grade for a knife with any pin crack, hairline crack, notable scratch, ding, or similar defect.Good (40–74): Complete and functional but showing noticeable wear, sharpening, patina, cleaning, scratches, cracks, handle damage, blade loss, or reduced mechanical performance.Fair (15–39): A usable knife with substantial wear or damage.
