For your consideration, we are pleased to offer for sale this Never Inked Limited Edition Montblanc The Prince Regent Fountain Pen from the 1995 Patron of the Art Series. This particular fountain pen is Limited Edition number 1215 out of 4810 and remains in Mint condition. This fountain pen is fitted with its original 18K/750 Fine nib measuring approximately .56mm at the tipping when measured with digital calipers. This example comes complete with the original Montblanc lacquered wooden presentation box, outer factory boxes, Montblanc literature, International Service Certificate, and original protective plastic sleeve.
The Montblanc Patron of the Art Series was created to honor important historical patrons of the arts, and The Prince Regent edition pays tribute to George, Prince Regent, who served as Prince Regent of the United Kingdom from 1811 until 1820 before becoming King George IV. His passion for architecture, decorative arts, fashion, music, and culture helped shape the distinctive aesthetic of the Regency Period. Montblanc captured that influence beautifully in this writing instrument through its elaborate fretwork, crown motif, deep blue precious resin, and vermeil sterling silver construction.
The cap and barrel are beautifully preserved with no cracks, nicks, dings, dents, wear, or repairs. The cap always secures tightly to the barrel, and there are no monograms or personalizations anywhere on the fountain pen. The deep blue precious resin remains rich and vibrant, while the 925 sterling silver vermeil overlay has been carefully polished and retains a beautiful, bright appearance. The intricate fretwork surrounding the barrel and cap provides a striking contrast against the blue resin and gives this fountain pen a very distinctive and elegant appearance. The crown motif on the top of the cap is a particularly fitting detail for an edition honoring the Prince Regent.
The cap is stamped on the left side with \"MONTBLANC GERMANY 2038/4810, 925, StØD,\" along with the appropriate sterling silver balance-scale and duck hallmarks. The fountain pen measures approximately 5 5/8\" capped, 6 3/8\" posted, and weighs 1.55 ounces. This is Limited Edition number 1215 out of 4810, and the production number is beautifully preserved on the cap. There are no personalizations or monograms to either the cap or barrel.
This Montblanc The Prince Regent utilizes Montblanc\'s traditional piston filling system, which I have tested with water and found to work exactly as designed. I have removed the piston and properly lubricated the mechanism so that it operates smoothly. This fountain pen retains the desirable brass piston mechanism. There were no signs of ink inside the barrel or on the nib, and the filling system showed no evidence of previous use. I have intentionally not inked or dip tested this fountain pen so that it can remain in its original New Old Stock, Never Inked condition for its next owner.
This fountain pen features its original 18K/750 Fine nib, measuring approximately .56mm at the tipping when measured with digital calipers. The complete presentation is exceptionally well preserved, with the boxes, literature, certificate, and accessories all remaining in excellent condition.

I consider this Montblanc The Prince Regent to be in Never Inked, Mint condition. The fountain pen displays no signs of use, and the original finish, vermeil overlay, nib, trim, filling system, boxes, and accompanying documentation have all been exceptionally well preserved. With its Limited Edition number 1215/4810, complete original presentation, brass piston mechanism, and untouched 18K Fine nib, this is a wonderful example for the Montblanc collector who appreciates the Patron of the Art Series.
