1987 US Military Marked Carabiner – Vintage Army Surplus / Reenactment
Original vintage U.S. military carabiner, dated1987and marked“US.”A great piece of Cold War-era military equipment and an affordable alternative for collectors looking for authentic U.S. military climbing/extraction gear without the price of earlier 1960s examples.
Carabiners of this type were associated with military climbing, rappelling and load/extraction applications. While this example is dated 1987 and is not being represented as Vietnam War–issued, it has the look and construction that makes it an excellent addition to a Vietnam-era or later U.S. military equipment collection, reenactment display, prop collection, or military surplus display.
Condition:Good used condition with expected wear from age and prior military/surplus use. Please examine all photos carefully for the exact condition and markings.
Important:This is a vintage military surplus item and is being sold as a collectible/display/reenactment item. It shouldnot be used for climbing, rappelling, rescue, load-bearing, or other life-safety applications.
A nice, affordable piece of genuine U.S. military surplus for the collector who wants authentic hardware without paying the premium often associated with 1960s examples.
