1987 Chinese Export Handpainted Porcelain Commemorative Famille Rose Plate 8\" XC For Sale

This is a vintage Chinese export hand painted porcelain art plate made in Guangzhou China to commemorate the first Export Commodities Exposition that was held there.

It is a famille rose glaze in pretty pastels with gold accents and the pattern has a paneled border with flowers. In the center of the plate is a large basket of fruit, two butterflies, flowers and a colorful bird that appears to be a pheasant or could be a bird of paradise. In one of the lower panels on the border is a hand painted souvenir label that says \" \'87 China Guangzhou Export Commodities Exposition\"

I do not know if the imagery has any significance or special meaning but the souvenir label makes it extra collectible

There are no chips, cracks or crazing and no paint loss that I can detect. It is in remarkable condition for a 31 year old plate. It does have a few super minor scratches on the front (see photos and zoom in)

There is an orange mark on the back that has a flower basket surrounded by the words \"Hand painted decoration, made in China\"

There are also two more faint marks on the front, one is very lightly scratched into the glaze and is a number 1 inside of a square. (see highlighted photo) The other is a faint light brown number 15 underlined and placed under the glaze.
