The Whole History of Santa - in miniature!
Wonderful complete set of 12 miniature collector plates from Duncan Royale's beloved "History of Santa Claus" Series I, 1983.
Each 3 1/4" porcelain plate has a different Santa from history and around the world, with a gold rim and gold hanging loop on the back so they can be ornaments or stand on a tiny easel. All 12 come with their individual "A Merry Christmas" collage boxes AND the large outer collector box.
This set has been loved and displayed - no chips or cracks, light wear to gold rim consistent with age. Colors are still vibrant and charming.
The 12 Santas Included:
1. St. Nicholas / Medieval Bishop (red mitre, cathedral)
2. Belsnickle - German (dark cloak, wreath)
3. Civil War Santa (in flag suit, striped bag)
4. Russian Father Frost / Ded Moroz (blue coat, snowy forest)
5. Pioneer / American Frontier Santa (brown buckskin, cabin)
6. Wassail - English (green coat, wassail bowl)
7. Nast Santa - Thomas Nast Classic (red suit by fireplace)
8. Father Christmas - English (long beard, Big Ben)
9. Chimney / Rooftop Santa (climbing in chimney)
10. Grandmother / Baboushka? - woman with staff (winter storm)
11. Magi / Old World Gift Bearer (stone bridge)
12. Dutch Sinterklaas (red & white robe, carrying tree, windmill)
13. Soda Pop - Modern American Santa (your box labeled SODA POP)
Note: Duncan Royale naming varies slightly between the figurine and plate series - the artwork is the same. I have identified each from the artwork.

Measures: 3 1/4" diameter each.
