Their name is MUD- "News on Wheels" publisher Ed Boettner (left) coaxes WGSO's Joe Lombardo into his crash helmet for Sunday's Medial Celebrity Mud Race, at 3 p.m. at the mud track near LaPlace (about 100 yards beyond the Snake Farm, you'll be interested to know). The event is a benefit for the Louise Davis Development Center for the mentally retarded. The track will awash with three-wheel dirt bikes and radio personalities- Warren Bell of WYLD, Cajun Ken Cooper of 'EZB, Chris Bryan of 'QUE, Waylon Daniels of 'NOE and Ric Simon of WCKW in LaPlace- plus Channel 4's Johnny Mann, Reid Corcoran of Channel 6, Ken Berthelot of Channel 8 and John Jones of the Times-Picayune.
