Here is a beautiful 1980 National Knife Collectors Association club knife, manufactured by Robt Klaas / Kissing Crane in Solingen, Germany.
Built on a substantial 4-inch three-blade Stockman frame, this is a thick, sturdy German-made knife with excellent presence in the hand.

THE STAG
The genuine stag handles are the standout feature of this example.
Both sides display rich dark-brown coloration, lighter cream borders and plenty of naturally textured bark. The presentation side is fitted with the engraved NKCA shield, while the opposite side displays another excellent piece of deeply colored stag.
The stag remains solid, with no chips or cracks detected.
Among the 1980 NKCA Klaas Stockmans I have encountered, this is one of the premium examples.

🔪 BLADES & MARKINGS
The knife carries three traditional Stockman blades, all remaining full and presenting exceptionally well.
The master blade retains its prominent decorative etch:

The tangs are clearly marked NKCA, NKCA 1980, and ROBT KLAAS / SOLINGEN / GERMANY, with the classic Kissing Cranes trademark also present.
The blades retain their fine original finish lines and appear to retain their original edges.

⚙️ MECHANICS & CONDITION
All three blades operate properly with good snap and mechanics.
The knife is clean inside and out, with clean backsprings, liners and blade wells. The nickel-silver bolsters show only minor storage and handling marks consistent with a carefully preserved vintage collectible.
The serial number 06594 is clearly engraved into the front bolster.

🇩🇪 A STANDOUT NKCA CLUB KNIFE
The NKCA commissioned club knives from several respected manufacturers, but Robt Klaas—maker of the famous Kissing Crane brand—really knocked it out of the park with this gunstock-pattern Stockman.
The combination of its substantial 4-inch frame, three full blades, prominent NKCA etch, serial-numbered bolster, deeply colored genuine stag and classic Solingen construction gives it the quality and presence collectors want in a German-made club knife.
