Dating is established by the Chanel batch coding system in which the first letter denotes the year of production. The miniatures in this set carry codes beginning with B, corresponding to 1978, as documented in the Chanel batch code reference maintained by Raiders of the Lost Scent. The codes are engraved on the base of each bottle. The set also shows period-correct bottle designs, authentic Chanel typography and its original presentation materials, all consistent with documented examples from the era.
