1975 Tufts University Barnum Hall Fire Letter Jumbo Printed Facsimile For Sale

Original April 14, 1975 Tufts University letter from Vice President John W. Sheetz to alumni, parents, and friends following the Barnum Hall fire that destroyed much of the building and the university\'s famous Jumbo display. The letter discusses the fire, the loss of Barnum and Jumbo, and the university\'s request for unrestricted support. Includes the original addressed envelope with 10-cent U.S. postage and a Medford, Massachusetts postmark.The signature at the end of the letter is printed/facsimile, not handwritten.
