2. Monday, September 9, 1974 — Late Jersey Edition

Features front-page photographs of Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford, along with the Statement by Nixon and Proclamation of Pardon.
Together, these newspapers document two closely connected Watergate-era events: Gerald Ford becoming the 38th President of the United States and Ford’s subsequent pardon of former President Richard Nixon.
CONDITION:
Original vintage newspapers in used condition with expected wear from age and storage. Both show overall paper toning/yellowing, original folds, creasing, wrinkles, edge and corner wear, and small tears or chips. The September 9 issue has noticeable wear and a small missing/chipped area near the upper-right corner.
The front-page headlines and photographs remain clearly readable and display well.
