Danny Seagren (born 1943) is a puppeteer and trained dancerwho worked for Jim Henson from 1968 into the early 1970s. As Big Bird, he andthe human cast toured around America, in promotion of the second season.Seagren later performed the pantomime role of Spider-Man on the Children’sTelevision Workshop series The Electric Company. Danny Seagren, the first actorto ever appear on screen as Spiderman, met for a signing May 2nd-3rd, 2015. This was the first time collectors had the chanceto meet “Spidey” in over 35+ years, as his last appearance was in 1976.
