Card Description Text (reverse):Describes how in 1902 Henry Ford designed and built this pioneer racer named after a fast New York Central locomotive. Driven by Barney Oldfield, \"999\" became world famous as a consistent race winner and record breaker. In 1904 Henry Ford personally drove \"999\" on the ice of Lake St. Clair to set a 1-mile record at 91.4 mph. Its 1,157 cu. in. engine is probably the largest 4-cylinder automobile engine ever built.

Message Content:Dated 9/17/72, Ruth and Eldon write enthusiastically from their vacation - visiting Baltimore, attending a Detroit Tigers game, and spending a day at Ford\'s Museum and Greenfield Village. \"Here is one for your collection, Harold.\" They plan to visit Niagara Falls Tuesday, return Thursday and Friday, and wish the Shays could have joined them. A postscript adds: \"P.S. Harold - Hope you get along OK at Doctors!\"
