Up for sale is a vintage neon glow bulb in the style of Aerolux bulbs, with a phosphor-coated metal figure of the Wolf from the Soviet cartoon “Nu, Pogodi!” (“Well, Just You Wait!”). It comes with its original cardboard box, which carries a violet ink stamp reading \"Ну погоди\" (Nu Pogodi).
The Wolf figure is shown in his striped shirt and flared trousers. When powered, the figure glows bright orange inside the clear glass envelope. Several photos show the bulb lit.
Details:
E27 screw base (standard European thread)
Rated for 220 V. The bulb was tested and works on 220 V, as shown in the photos
Height approx. 6 inches (about 15 cm) including the thread
Clear glass envelope with an orange-glowing figure and small phosphor-coated “flower” pieces inside
Original box marked “EB3”, with the ink stamp described above
Age: probably 1970s, based on the era of the cartoon. There is no printed date on the bulb or box. Excellent for its age.
Voltage: Rated for 220 V and tested working on 220 V (see photos). Not tested on 110 V. On 110–120 V mains it will probably glow dimmer.
Please review all photos carefully, as they are an important part of the item description.
