This is a sale for a vintage Dunhill Silver plated Rollagas Lighter.I have dated this lighter to October 1967.This ‘Barley’ patterned lighter has been totally Overhauled, kindly see picture 12 for state of the internals. All seals changed, internal parts are now spotless.
The faces are in utterly fantastic condition given the vintage with perhaps a few minor marks about the smooth highlights. The smooth cap remains very shiny and reflective but does have some pocket rash predominantly to the top. One spot of plating loss to one corner of the cap(picture 4 top right hand corner of lighter). The base is in very good condition.Under the cap is in much better condition and the flint chamber pops open as designed and is very smooth.Kindly note that Rollagas of this age do not have a logo sticker under the cap.Despite the negatives that I have pointed out, she is a 65 year old lighter and as such she is really in superb shape!!! She is the fifth iteration of the Rollagas after their introduction in 1957.
If you’re after perfectly functioning and newly overhauled example of the rollagas then look no further!!The lighter is incredibly reflective and tactile. Any dark areas in the pictures reflections of the camera.KINDLY NOTE THAT THE LIGHTER WILL BE DEVOID OF GAS AND FLINT AT TIME OF SHIPPING.
