1965 Mickey Mouse Watch US Time Disney RARE Measle Dial leather band Works For Sale

This is a rare highly collectible Measle version of the 1960s Mickey Mouse watch. It was made by US Time which was a precurser to Timex. It's called the Measle version because Mickey's face has small red speckles. (See close up photo).
1965 Measle (Stippled) Mickey Mouse watch with red leather band that is 7" long. The watch works, but be careful not to overwind if you purchase. The band is original so it has a little bit of wear but is wearable (check your wrist size. The chrome, face and glass are in very good condition. The face is marked WDP for Walt Disney Productions. The back is marked US Time and has a date code, dating it to August of 1965.Manufacturing information: Timex has its roots as far back as the Waterbury Clock Co. Later, they partnered with Ingersol to pocket wristwatches, and in WWII made wristwatches. An interesting fact is that when they released the hugely popular Mickey Mouse watch in 1933, it helped save the company from bankruptcy during the Great Depression Later down the road, in 1944, they changed the name to US Time which was later bought out by Timex.
