This is an exceedingly rare brass trivet featuring the seal of the State of Texas on the front. The reverse says “Governor and Mrs. John B. Connally 1965” with “101” stamped in the center of the star.
Only one of these trivets has previously been recorded as being previously sold and it was identified as having been made to commemorate the 2nd term of Governor Connally.
This item measures approximately 6.5” at its widest and 9.75” at its tallest and weighs 1 lb 8 oz.
