A handsome paperweight given to those committed to Kennedy\'s Presidential candidacy just before he received the Democratic nomination: a 2.25\" diameter x 1\" tall clear Lucite paperweight with a model of Kennedy\'s iconic PT-109 boat suspended within. The accompanying text reads: \"Delegate 1960,\" with a facsimile of Kennedy\'s signature beneath. Light scratching as expected, otherwise very good.

The 1960 Democratic National Convention was held at the Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles, July 11-15, 1960, during which Kennedy and running mate Lyndon B. Johnson were nominated. The platform centered on the economy: \"...As the first step in speeding economic growth, a Democratic president will put an end to the present high-interest-rate, tight-money policy\" (David Frum, \"How We Got Here\"). Other areas of focus included national defense, disarmament, civil rights, immigration, foreign aid, labor and tax reform.
