The product is a vintage high school yearbook from 1951 at Bay View High School in Milwaukee, titled "The Oracle." This yearbook is a piece of historical memorabilia that captures the activities, students, and events of the school during that time. It serves as a nostalgic keepsake for alumni and collectors interested in education and school history from the mid-20th century.
Some crackling noises when opening— not sure if the pages are just a little sticky or if binding is a little wonky or what.
Why buy old yearbooks?
They are a lot of fun to look at— often like looking into a time capsule from the given time period. Some people buy them because they are looking for a famous (or infamous!) person or people. Others are interested in history and genealogy, trying to find parents, grandparents, friends or other family members. They’re also full of material that scrapbookers and other paper ephemera/mixed media artists can use.
