Original vintageDeSoto Hernando / Conquistador hood ornament, believed to be for1951–1952 DeSoto applications.
The underside is marked withMopar casting/part number 1347334and additional casting markings. This is a substantial chrome-plated die-cast original period piece, not being represented as a reproduction.
IMPORTANT CONDITION INFORMATION:
This hood ornament isDAMAGED and incomplete. There arecracks/breaks and other damage to the casting, as clearly shown in the photographs.The Hernando/Conquistador face insert is MISSING and is NOT included.There is also age-related wear, scratches, plating deterioration, pitting and other imperfections consistent with an approximately 75-year-old automotive part.
