Pair of original vintage British fireman’s / fire brigade pick axes, believed to date from the 1950s.
One is clearly stamped PERKS H.98. Both feature the classic British short fireman’s axe configuration with cutting blade, pointed pick, wooden handles and long steel reinforcing straps.
Both show genuine age and service/storage wear, including oxidation, scratches, discoloration and handle wear. They have not been restored or heavily cleaned and retain excellent period patina.
