Rare, vintage 1950s commercial electric \"Hot Cup\" soup warmer made for Campbell\'s Soup Kitchens. This is Model STDS-N-V7-110C, engineered by the famous Helmco-Lacy Division of Star Manufacturing Co. (St. Louis, MO). This listing uniquely includes its rare original factory box!
The cup itself is the highly collectible Canadian-market version, manufactured under license by McCormack Smyth Ltd. (Port Credit, Ontario).
Unlike most surviving cups, this unit has been fully tested and work exceptionally well. It plugs in via its original power cord (Made in the USA) and heats up to a high temperature within seconds.
The original box is intact and features great vintage typography, though it does show its age with typical shelf wear and a noticeable water stain. Stamped on the bottom of the cup with \"McCormack Smyth Ltd, Port Credit, Canada.\" Back plate text reads \"SPECIAL HOT CUP TO BE USED WITH CAMPBELL SOUP KITCHEN.\"
Stainless steel has an excellent mirror finish and includes the original power cord and the rare original box (shows age wear/water stain, see photos). Handle has a minor, stable partial crack on the bottom side running from the metal plate to the screw hole. The crack does NOT go all the way through, and the handle remains completely solid and structurally secure to hold.
