This dramatic ornament features Chevrolet’s distinctive early jet-age bird design with along streamlined body, tall swept upright wings, smaller center fin and sculpted eagle/bird head. It is an impressive example of Chevrolet styling at the beginning of the 1950s.
This accessory was available for the1950 Chevrolet passenger-car line, including the Bel Air, as well as other appropriate Chevrolet passenger-car applications. It should not be considered exclusive to the Bel Air.
Condition
Good original vintage condition with an attractive aged appearance.
The chrome remains bright and reflective in many areas. As expected from an approximately 75-year-old automotive ornament, there is visiblepitting, oxidation, scratches, plating wear and other age-related finish deterioration.
The ornament appears complete in the photographs, with the distinctive tall wings and center section intact.
