YORK Richard Franklin Andes1928- 2009, Irene (Wolfhope) Andes, his wife,of York. Born in Monocacy, Union Township, on August 30, 1928, the son of the late George S. Andes of York and the late Pearl (McCord) Andes Lear of Reading. He attended York City schools and graduated from American- Mitchell Soll Vogel Designing School of New York City as a master furrier. He was a Navy veteran of WWII serving on the U.S.S. Portsmouth (CL-102) Motor Torpedo Boat Squadron ONE. Dick owned and managed Furs by Richard in York for many years until his retirement...
