1949 RAF Kingston Bagpuize No 3 MU Government Surplus Auction Catalogue For Sale

Original post-war RAF government surplus sale catalogue for the Ninth Sale held at No. 3 Maintenance Unit RAF Sub-Station, Kingston Bagpuize, on Wednesday 5 January 1949.

A particularly interesting surviving sale-used copy containing extensive handwritten prices, notes and markings throughout. The catalogue lists a wide variety of surplus RAF equipment, including aviation, radio, photographic and engineering items.

Used vintage condition with substantial age and handling wear.

There is visible edge and corner wear, creasing, marks, discolouration and small tears. Interior pages show extensive handwritten ink annotations and sale prices. More pronounced creasing, tearing and wear can be seen around the lower page edges and binding area on some pages.

The handwritten markings appear consistent with the catalogue having been actively used in connection with the sale and form an interesting part of its history.
