Brown and Billy Light.Independent research confirms them through two dated period sources: a Montana Standard (Butte, MT) article from August 21, 1948 names Billy Light as a professional wing walker who worked the top wing of a speeding plane through loops, slow rolls, and inverted passes, and names J.D. \"Jato\" Brown as a national high-speed acrobatic champion and the featured performer of the day at a Montana Pilots Association air show.The very next day\'s edition (August 22, 1948) carries a full display ad for the \"All American Air Show\" at Butte Municipal Airport, again naming both Light and Brown in the performer lineup, with an illustration of a wing walker atop a biplane that closely echoes the pose in this photo. This photo captures the two men doing exactly the act described in the press just weeks or months apart from this Kansas date.The reverse also carries a further period notation stating both men were later killed while crop dusting tobacco in North Carolina, circa 1950.
